In 2020, I ran several stand alone collage workshops in collaboration with Make CIC based in Liverpool UK. They aim to serve local artisans, helping them to develop their businesses whilst also supporting local creative needs within local communities.

As a resident of their Baltic triangle artist studios, we worked together closely to deliver the initial collaboration and noticed the extremely positive feedback from participants.

Both online and in-person workshops (when government restrictions allowed) were run and were well attended, so I spent some time reviewing participant feedback and considering how we could build on this momentum.

I noticed in the feedback that people wanted to return or had returned to collage workshops and commented that they would value the opportunity to make collage collectively with other artists on a regular basis.

Therefore, I decided to approach Make with the idea of creating a workshop series that would provide a regular and consistent space for people to come and make art.

It was due to launch in January 2021, but due to complications related to covid it has been postponed to March. Despite the delay I remain optimistic about the series when it is possible to start as the first session has already sold out and multiple people have made contact via email and social media to say they are excited for when it will officially launch.

Follow on social media to see how the hottest club in town gets on later in 2021!
